Workshop on entrepreneurship skill development ends

The valedictory programme of a five-day workshop on "Start-ups and Entrepreneurship Skill Development" was held at the training hall of Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development, School of Social Sciences, Manipur University.
Prof Adya Prasad Pandey, Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University, Prof N Lokendra Singh, Dean, School of Social Sciences, Manipur University, N Dhaneswar Singh, Deputy general manager, North- Eastern Development Finance Corporation, Prof Ch Ibohal Meitei, director, Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development, Manipur University, graced the function as presidium members.
During his speeech, Vice-Chancellor Prof Pandey urged the participants and young generation to take part in nation building activities by venturing into entrepreneurship.
"By taking this advantage, students should develop a mechanism and strategy so that they can be self-sufficient and self employed.
To provide proper guidance, training and skill development for youngesters, we have centre like Entrepreneurship and Skill development in Manipur University," he said.
Prof N Lokendra said that Manipur has a number of ethnic communities and each community has its own unique skill and idea and the time has come to identify that skill and promote them.
Dhaneswar opined that Human Resource Development should be developed in each and every area for an overall development of the country.
