National Integration camp begins

Imphal, January 29 2017:
Nehru Yuva Kendra, Imphal West, kick started a five-day National integration camp at Kangshang, Khuman Lampak yesterday.
The camp will be held till February 1 .
The inaugural function of the camp was attended by Professor Adya Prashad Pande, Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University; W Iboyaima Singh, Regional Director, Dattapent Thengadi, National Board for Workers Education and Development and Sahib Singh, State Director, NYKS Manipur as chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
In his key note address, W Ibohal Singh, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Imphal West, said the camp is a flagship programme of the Government of India.
The programme is being organised with a view to provide a platform to the youths coming from different States of India to share or exchange their ideas for development.
This NIC programme, he added, will create an opportunity to inculcate the spirit of unity and nationalism.
The attending dignitaries spoke about the beauties of Manipur.
Altogether, 250 youths from Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Haryana, Maharashtra, Sikkim and Manipur are participating in the camp.
Lecture sessions on relevant topics, quiz, group discussion, field visit to Loktak, INA, Sendra etc, will be held during the 5-day national integration camp.
There will also be a rally from Kangshang to Kangla, Imphal City, Govindaji Temple.
Knit India Exhibition stalls were also opened by the attending dignitaries as part of the camp, a statement issued by District Youth Coordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Imphal West, informed.
