SFs net nine persons

Troops of Assam Rifles and Imphal West police commandos have reportedly arrested eight persons inclusive of UG cadres and three foreigner in separate incidents.
According to a PIB (DW) release, troops of 11 AR under the Red Shield Division apprehended three hard-core members of the United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA)-Max faction during the course of an operation launched near Keimai village in Tamenglong district.
The arrested persons have been identified as UTLA commander in-chief Ngurkhaho alias Max (23) of Palel village, Lunminthang (20) of Churachandpur and Lulunz (18) of Jiribam.
The PIB (DW) release said the cadres were allegedly involved in the murder of a Railway employee named Pintu Das of Bharat Construction Company, a sub-contractor in Jiribam-Tupul Railway Project in February this year.
Eight packets of explosive material (PEK), two detonators (No 27) and cordex five metres long were recovered from the three, who have been handed over to Porompat police station.
On the otherhand, troops of 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector reportedly netted one cadre each of the KCP (Nando group) and KNA outfits from Yaingangpokpi area in Ukhrul district at around 12.30 pm of April 26 .
A PRO IGAR (S) release identified the two as KCP's Sagolsem Bimol Singh (29) s/o (L) S Inao Singh of T Yaingangpokpi and KNA's Army No 1550, 1st Bn Thang Khushad (23) s/o (L) Holet of Semul.
Three live rounds of AK 47 have been reportedly recovered from the two, who along with the recovery, have been handed over to Lamlai police station.
In another instance, troops of 29 AR of 26 Sector apprehended three Myanmarese nationals from Tengnoupal area on April 27 when they were travelling from Imphal to Moreh without valid documents.
The individuals have been identified as Md Noor Islam (22) s/o (L) Sobi Hassan, Zahid Khan (21) s/o (L) Kalu Khan and Fatima Khan (40) w/o Noor Bhushn.
