Imphal, February 27 2015 :
All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has urged the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) to make special arrangement to allow 2500 students, who have not received their admit cards, appear the ensuing Class X and XII examinations of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) .
According to a press note of AMSU issued by its Information and Publicity Secretary Kangabam Dhanajit, around 2500 students of some private CBSE schools in the State have not received their admit cards for the Class X and XII board examinations and they are likely to lose one valuable academic year.
The admit card issue is a consequence of the State Government's failure to check the activities of private CBSE schools in the State.
The quality of education in the State has also been compromised due to the acts of some unscrupulous people, it said.
AMSU has also appealed to the State Government and higher authority of CBSE to take up an alternative arrangement to allow the 2500 students appear the ensuing Class X and XII examinations.
