Conference on local entrepreneurship

A one day round table conference on existing commercial system and emergence of local entrepreneurship with special reference to Maram Khullen Circle area was held at the auditorium of Don Bosco College, Maram, reports our correspondent.
The conference was organized by volunteers of Bosco Social Services Society, Maram (BSSSM) .
Presenting statistics of alarming rise of non-locals running business in the area, participants deliberated on the need to provide financial support, motivation, regulatory and systematic market rules, customer friendly attitude, managerial skills, market study, creativity, outsource local products, dignity of labour, infrastructural development, skill training, uniformity of price and other related issues in order to provide a platform to local entrepreneurs.
BSSSM director and Principal of DBC, Maram Fr Dr KO Sebastian stressed on the need to provide opportunities and proper guidance to allow local entrepreneurs to emerge.
Principal Fr Dr KO Sebastian noted that with its strategic location along the highway, presence of a premier college and abundance of human resources, local youth should explore the economic benefits.
