CM distributes sanction letters

Imphal, February 25 2018:
Manipur State Cooperative Bank (MSCB) today distributed loan sanction letters to 179 individuals and self-help groups at the Durbar Hall of the Chief Minister's Secretariat.
Speaking at the gathering, Chief Minister N Biren said that MSCB had given Rs 3.5 crore in loan during the past 11 months in three phases.
Popular fashion designer Robert Naorem is one of the beneficiary and he had been given a loan of Rs 10 lakh.
All the citizens of the State cannot be given white collar jobs.
That is why, the State Government took up the initiative of extending loans to unemployed people so as to encourage self-employment.
The Government has been extending monetary assistance to people in the form of loans who came for such assistance on Meeyamgi Numit and the Hill Leaders' Day, Biren said.
The number of people who gathered on Meeyamgi Numit and the Hill Leaders' Day have started declining on account of the several welfare schemes taken by the Government including Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang and Chief Minister-gi Sotharabashingi Tengbang, claimed the Chief Minister.
MSCB Managing Director A Subash was also present at the gathering.
