Imphal, November 24 2016:
UCM has sought clarification from the Nagaland Police after two persons who claimed to be Nagaland police personnel unofficially barged into the office complex of United Committee Manipur (UCM) and enquired the activities, functioning and executive members of UCM today.
Briefing mediapersons at its office at Lamphelpat, UCM secretary general Y Dhiren stated that two persons barged into the office complex of UCM today at around 9.30 am.
When the caretaker enquired the reason of their visit, one of them who spoke in Meitei language asked the names and details of UCM executive members and its activities.
The duo left the office after the caretaker told them that they could get all details when they contact the president and secretary general of UCM.
The unofficial act from self-proclaimed Nagaland police personnel is condemnable and Nagaland Police should clarify whether they have sent any representatives or not.
If they did, they should have taken the formal route rather than barging into someone else's office in the officials' absence.
Further he said that if any CSO or any organization wishes to know the functions and other information of UCM, they may obtain the same through official channel.
