The misunderstanding between hill and valley people persists in the State as the issues of insurgency and religion have not been resolved, said DM College of Arts Associate Professor Dr Moirangthem Priyobarta.
He was speaking at the review function of Angam Zatung Chiru's novel, Nungshi Leipul at the head office of Patriotic Writers Forum, Manipur at New Checkon.
The Professor said that the novel pointed out that the misunderstanding between the hill and valley people will end and peace and tranquility would be restored in the State once the issues of insurgency and religion are resolved.
Speaking at the function as moderator, noted lyricist B Jayantakumar said that no religion teach anybody to fight, look down and criticise.
It is unfortunate that some people are instigating people to wage war and separate people in the name of religion, he added.
