Imphal, September 24 2016:
Irked with certain alleged anomalies in the General Studies question paper of the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (MCSCC) Main Exam held yesterday, some candidates have lodged a complaint with the MPSC Secretary seeking re-examination of the same paper or other corrective measures.
According to the candidates, the General Studies question paper had four pages.
The sequence of questions went up to page number 3 before the questions were nterrupted with a big gap.
On seeing the big gap, the candidates thought that the questions ended there with question number 8 .
However, after they came out of the examination halls, it was found there were two more questions (question nos 9 and 10) on the back page (page no 4) .
None of the candidates thought that there would be any more questions after question no 8 as the same page had a big space just beneath it.
Moreover, page 3 did not give any indication like 'PTO' to notify there were more questions on the next page, said the candidates.
The two questions printed on page 4 carried 60 marks in total and around 200 candidates did not notice the two questions, said the candidates.
They urged the MPSC to hold re-examination of the General Studies paper as it would be unfair to let the candidates who did not attempt the last two questions compete with the other candidates who attempted the same questions.
