The NPF-Manipur State Unit has issued a statement regarding misleading reports and rumours of promising party tickets to certain intending candidates in the upcoming 12th Manipur Assembly Elections 2022.Amidst heavy rush for party tickets amongst intending candidates coupled with rumours and unofficial information, the NPF-Manipur State Unit Youth General Secretary Luikang Lamak has clarified that, "no decision on party ticket to any candidate for any Assembly Constituency has been taken till date" .
He also cleared the cloud that no intending candidates seeking the NPF ticket has been either confirmed or promised by any party leaders.
According to the NPF Youth General Secretary, the final decision regarding party tickets will be decided only after due consultation by the ticket committee of the party.
Luikang Lamak who is also in-charge of the NPF-Maram Area Town Unit office categorically clarified that information about assuring NPF ticket to former Minister Francis Ngajokpa by certain elements is totally "misleading and wrong" as no such decision has been considered till date.
He added that, "Francis who is known to be actively associated with other political party in past years is not even an enrolled primary member in the NPF party, so the question of his involvement in the party is out of question.
The NPF leader also appealed to the public and all concerned to avoid disseminating such false rumours and misinformation.
