Financial literacy awareness camp held

Financial Literacy Centre, Wangjing and Kairembikhok Students' Union and Club (KSUC), Kairembikhok, jointly organised a one day financial literacy awareness camp at Kairembikhok Mayai Leikai community hall today.
The camp was held under the aegis of the Manipur Rural Bank, Wangjing Branch and sponsored by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Manipur Regional Office, Imphal, our correspondent reports.
Member Nominee Wangbal GP Ward No 7, Laishram Bimol Singh, attended the awareness camp as chief guest, while retired Cashier, Imphal, Co-operative Bank, Phijam Ranjit Singh was the functional president.
Resource person and guest of honour of the camp Chongtham Indramani Singh, Manager, MRB, Wangjing Branch said the objective of the camp was to educate the rural populace of the banking facilities.
He further urged the public to take full advantage of such literacy awareness campaigns to avoid technical shortcomings in the time of taking loans, or banking assistance.
Different topics like, financial budgeting, financial planning, Know Your Customer (KYC), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), MUDRA, National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT), Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) and bank products were discussed during the technical session of the camp.
Altogether, 200 people took part in the camp.
