Imphal, September 18 2016:
More complaints on NFSA rice and ration cards distribution are still coming in.
A committee constituted against the alleged mismanagement of NFSA rice and ration cards distribution at Ward No 6 of Wangoi Municipal Council (WMC) in Imphal West district has alleged that NFSA has become a complete mess at their Ward.
Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club, committee secretary Th Mangolnganbi alleged that neither the CAF & PD Minister nor local MLA has arranged anything tangible for proper distribution of rice and ration cards.
She said that in the first phase of rice distribution, beneficiaries received only 4 kg per head although they are entitled to get 5 kg per head.
Mangolnganbi said that no action had been taken although the matter had been forwarded to Fair Price Shop agents and local MLA.
She questioned how much quantity would be deducted from the beneficiaries' quota of rice for transportation fare.
Mangolnganbi also demanded the local MLA and FPS agents to entrust their near and dear ones to distribute NFSA rice.
She threatened to move the Court if their entitled quantity of rice is not provided.
Mangolnganbi further alleged that whenever they raised any complaint, they were asked to approach DC.
