CWC of Manipur Assembly visits orphanages

MLA Nemcha Kipgen, Chairperson, Committee on Women and Children, Manipur Legislative Assembly and others members including officials and staff of Social Welfare Dept visited two children Homes in Sadar Hills and extended help to the children today.
The team headed by MLA Nemcha Kipgen included MLA S Bira Singh, MLA E Chand, M Ramani Devi, Joint Secretary of the Committee and Manipur Legislative Assembly, Rohit Sapam, Deputy Secretary, Manipur Legislative Assembly, L Nabakishore Singh, Director, Social Welfare and other officials and staff of Social Welfare Dept.
The team visited Agape Children Home at Kangpokpi at around 10 in the morning and Kanglatongbi Children Home in the afternoon.
The team extended monetary assistance of Rs 30,000 and blankets to the children of Agape Children Home, Kangpokpi and distributed blankets to inmates of Kanglatongbi Children Home.
Speaking at the simple reception function held at Agape Children Home, Kangpokpi, chairperson of the Committee Nemcha encouraged the caretakers of the Home to allay the insecurity of the children.
The team also inspected Kanglatongbi Children Home which is said to be one of the oldest Orphanage Home in the State.
MLA S Bira Singh said that God loves and helps those who love and labour for the unfortunate children.
