RPF, MNPF claim hands

Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) and Manipur Naga People's Front (MNPF) have claimed that a combined team of PLA's 252 Mobile Bn and cadres of MNPF launched an attack on soldiers of 4 AR at Sajik Tampak area today.
A joint statement issued by Bangkim, assistant secretary, publicity, RPF and Thomas Numai, assistant publicity secretary, MNPF said that SS Sgt Loko alias Themreiyo Ningsheng gave up his life in the attack while SS Pte Pheiroijamba alias Thokchom Ningthem fell in the hands of the enemy.
RPF and its armed wing PLA saluted the constant liberation fight and said that the fighting spirit has instilled a renewed sense of dedication, it said.
Since the Indian military forces occupied Sajik Tampak area in 2004, they have disturbed the peaceful environment of the people who lived there in peace.
They have caused immense trouble to the people in their daily activities, it said.
It also accused the Indian forces of terrorising the people.
The military forces are engaged in opium in Sajik Tampak area as they encourage large scale plantation of poppy.
The Govt is feigning ignorance of such activities, the joint statement said.
Manipur society will perish if the demography war, drug war and war on destruction of culture and tradition are not fought collectively by the masses, it further said.
PLA and like-minded groups have continuously waged a war against the Indian forces and will continue to do so, it said while urging the people to extend cooperation.
The war office of PLA and MNPF also thanked the cadres involved in the attack and all those who assisted them.
