Four UG cadres arrested

Imphal, June 15 2014:
Bishnupur district police commandos conducted a search operation at Thangmeiband Tarung village and arrested an active member of KCP (Nando) faction.
He has been identified as Romeo alias Jackson alias Kanba alias Rosan Rongmei (33) s/o Lorence Rongmei of Thangmeiband Tarung.
Investigation revealed that he was involved in serving demand letters of the outfit and extortion of money from the general public of Imphal areas .
In a follow up action, another cadre of the outfit was netted from Loukhong village.
He has been identified as Aureng Shi Soprang (48) s/o (L) Aureng Shi Pulingba of Loukhong village.
Investigation revealed that he was involved in transportation of arms and ammunition of the outfit.
A case has been registered at Lamphel Police Station and investigation is going on.
In another incident, a combined team of Bishnupur district police commandos and a column of 6 AR conducted a search operation in and around Moirang Bazar and arrested one active member of KCP (KK Nganba), namely, Naorem Ibomcha Singh (38) s/o N Kulachandra Singh of Tentha Khunjao.
On his disclosure, the commando unit of Bishnupur district police rushed at RIMS road near Babina Diagnostic Center and arrested two cadres of KCP (KK Nganba), namely, Aheibam Dijen Singh alias Ahanmacha (63) s/o (L) A Shyamkishor Singh of Lilong Chajing A/P Arapti Mayai Leikai, s/s Captain of KCP (KK Nganba) and Chongtham Ibomcha Singh (40) s/o (L) Ch Mani Singh of Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak.
Investigation revealed that Aheibam Dijen Singh alias Ahanmacha had served demand letters of the said outfit to general public and different Government employees.
In further follow up action, Chongtham Manglemjao alias KK Nganba alias Koi alias Irabot (62) S/o (L) Ch Mani Singh of Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak, s/s Chairman of KCP (KK Nganba) group was also arrested from Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak.
A case has been registered at Moirang Police Station and investigation is going on, said a press release issued by Police PRO S Gautam Singh.
