MPP calls for a violence-free democratic election

Intending candidate of Manipur People's Party (MPP) Asheibam Bele has made an appeal to the people to ensure that the upcoming 12th Legislative Assembly election will be conducted democratically in Andro AC without any instance of violence.
The statement was made at a meeting with media persons today, wherein he continued to add that the recent increase in the bouts of election related violence in Andro AC has disturbed the peace of mind of the residents and created an atmosphere of fear and tension.
A Bele also spoke out against unsavoury propagandas pushed by certain people against him and stated that he would resort to legal recourse in this matter, requesting the people not to believe the rumours.
He also made an appeal to all intending candidates of Andro AC to focus their attention on working for the people and lend their support and cooperation to the candidate who will emerge victorious at the end of this election.
General Secretary Administration of MPP Haobijam Gitajen also called for an end to the incidents of violence in the name of election and added that it is time for the people of Manipur to teach a lesson to the political leaders who wield money power, guns and goondaism all for the sake of politics.
