Kanggui, September 12 2013:
The Kuki Students' Organization Sadar Hills today announced its endorsement of the decision by Deputy Commissioner (DPC), Senapati to transfer 19 Job Cards of Sanaching Village to Samulamlan Block of Churachandpur district.
The student body president Thangminlen Kipgen said that Sanaching village had been burnt/destroyed completely in 1993-94 during the ethnic conflicts in the hills of Manipur.
The villagers of Sanaching then left their original place of settlement and had resettled at H Champhai village for the last many years, added Thangminlen.
Tracing history, he stated that chief of Sanaching and his relatives bought a piece of land in Samulamlan Block under Churachandpur district for re-settlement of the villagers and accordingly the re-settled village was recently inaugurated (Sept 7, 2013) in the presence of district officials of Churachandpur.
In the light of the facts, decision of the Deputy Commissioner, Senapati to transfer 19 Job Cards of Sanaching village to Samulamlan Block of Churachandpur is legitimate and genuine which is beyond doubt, expressed Thangminlen while adding that the student body fully endorses the decision of DC and urged all concerned not to disrupt or play spoilsport with the genuine decision of the DC/DPC.
