The 50 bedded hospital of Jiribam located at Ningsingkhul still remains in a bad shape with no authority to look after the hospital .
The OPD of the hospital remains shut due to absence of doctors and the patients who come to the hospital go back without any medical attention.
According to source, a doctor whose name is mentioned in the today's roster of OPD was engaged as a District Immunisation Officer (DIO) at the erstwhile CHC complex of Babupara, which is presently used as the CMO office .
The media persons made an effort to talk with the Chief Medical Officer regarding the matter, however, it was learnt that he had left for Imphal yesterday .
Later, when the media persons tried to contact the CMO in his mobile phone, it was found switched off .
It can be recalled that recently, the OPD of the hospital was shut down by the people of Jiribam expressing discontentment over the activities of the hospital and lack of amenities .
When the media persons visited the hospital today, there was no doctor to discuss the shut down of the OPD and the unavailability of staff at the hospital.
