Three volunteers of JN Hospital Helpline have been picked up by a police team of Imphal East district for verification this morning from the Hospital premises.
According to police source, the apprehended trio are Arunkanta, Naobi and Brajakeshore.
Like in the past, the Helpline unit of JN Hospital resumed its activities of guiding and extending medical assistance to those injured and brought to the Govt-run hospital ever since violent agitation broke out against the July 23 fake encounter at BT Road.
Similar assistance are being provided to injured victims by volunteers of RIMS Hospital Helpline unit at the premier medical institute.
Meanwhile, Naorem Prakash of Langthabal Kunja, who had been undergoing treatment of eye injury at the JN Hospital has been shifted to the ENT ward of the medical centre today.
Prakash sustained serious injury on his right eye in crack down by police personnel some days back at Langthabal Kunja and Kyamgei area.
Prior to his shifting to the ENT ward, the teenager was under the care of JN Hospital doctors at the casualty ward.
