Jiri News Network (JNN) has launched its website today.
The launching ceremony, organised by Jiri News Network Committee (JNNC), at Jiribam Municipal Council Auditorium Hall was attended by K Sarat Kumar Singh, vice chairman, Manipur Food Industries Corporation Ltd Govt of Manipur, M Harikumar Singh, president, JNNC, Mayanglangbam Rajkumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam, Moirangthem Mubi Singh, SP Jiribam, Khogendra Khomdram, president, Editors Guild Manipur (EGM), Ng Biswajit Singh, president, All Jiribam Working Journalist Union, (AJWJU), Raj Nongthombam, Editor, IMPACT TV and Seram Herajit Singh, publisher, Manipur Chronicle as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, founder Editor, JNN Romeo Moirangthem said that Jiribam, about 222 km away from Imphal, is a mini-India where various communities reside.
The JNN plays important roles in diffusing news and information about he district to the people.
Stating the various roles media play, he said that JNN aims to bring positive changes and further grow as a frontline network.
The website will enable JNN to reach out to people more and at the same time collect feedback, he said.
The website is developed by Nongthombam Maipak Singh, s/o of Nongthombam Tomba Singh of Babupara, Jiribam.
JNN Editor-in-Chief Md Mahin Laskar also attended the event.
