In the last three years, there has been huge decrease in the child mortality rate and as a result, IDCF has been extended for the fourth year, he informed.
He further said that the main objective of IDCF is to create awareness by going door to door awareness campaign to the far flung areas of the State.
It may be mentioned that the effect of diarrhoeal mortality remains high among the children and hence in continuation of the efforts in 2014, 2015, and 2016, it was decided to organise an IDCF this year from June 12 to June 24 with the ultimate aim of "Zero child deaths due to childhood diarrhoea" .
