BJP candidate for the up-coming 15th Lok Sabha election in the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency D Loli Adanee to campaign at Tamenglong district headquarters.
The BJP candidate started off his campaign by paying homage to Haipou Jadonnang, renowned freedom fighter.
Public also accorded a warn welcome to him at Old Tamenglong (Khunjao) village.
Addressing a public meting later during the day at Tamenglong mini stadium where his supporters came out in hundreds to take a glimpse of their candidate and to listen to his speech, Adanee promised to take up the long standing issue of recognising Zeliangrong tribe, construction of TamenglongTousem-Haflong (Assam) Road and Tamenglong-Tenning (Nagaland) road apart from other projects to enhance local produces and market facilities for the same.
Adanee, who is former manager of Air India and was second to Mani Charenamei in the last Lok Sabha election also assured the Zeliangrong people of his contribution toward fixing up the crisis between Zeliangrong Baudi and Zeliangrong Union over and above making best efforts towards bringing peace and all round development in the region.
Former Family Welfare Minister PD Panmei, former Tribal Development Minister Samuel Jendai and former Chairman of Hill Areas Committee of Manipur Legislative Assembly RV Mingthing were also present and spoke at the meeting.
The Outer Parliamentary constituency goes to polls on April 16 .
