Rural Voluntary Services fetes Babita Sapam

The secretary of Rural Voluntary Services (RVS), Babita Sapam was felicitated by the staff of RVS at RVS Head Office in Wangbal Mayai Leikai, Thoubal district today for bagging two international awards- Asian Iconic Award and Doctor of Philosophy Award.
The reception programme was attended by Babita Sapam, her parents Sapam Kulachandra and Sapam (ongbi) Prabhahini Devi; Sapam Nabachandra Singh, president, SDO Wangbal and Kh Jitendra Singh, member, MCPCR as presidium members.
It may be noted that Babita Sapam received the Asian Iconic Award conferred by Global Human Right Council and the Doctor of Philosophy Award presented by the Commonwealth Vocational University, Kingdom of Tonga on August 27 at Radisson in Gurugram, Udyog Vihar.

Speaking on the occasion, Babita Sapam pointed out why she established an NGO and her reasons for dedicating her life to social service.
She also highlighted the key differences between NGOs in the past and the present times.
Babita Sapam added that Rural Voluntary Services is an NGO that has received not only State or national but international recognition in the field of social service for providing aid to orphan girls, senior citizens etc.
She lauded the staff of RVS while highlighting their dedicated service and added that the two international awards were bagged all due to their hard work.
Babita Sapam further affirmed her resolve to continue working in the service of others.
