Bicentenary birthday of Karl Marx celebrated

The Agitation and Propaganda, Department of Manipur State Council in association with Communist Party of India observed the bicentenary birthday celebration of Karl Marx at Irawat Bhawan Imphal today.
State Secretariat member MSC/CPIL Iboyaima, social scientist Th Yaiskul, retd Professor, MU P Nabachandra, retired senior scientist (ICAR) AC Sharma, environmentalist & former Principal DM College of Science G Tomba Sharma and social scientist L Thoiren attended the function as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, State Secretary, MSC/CPI L Sotinkumar stated that the great German economist, socialist and philosopher was the advocate of communism and socialism in Europe.
He went on to state that Karl Marx researched extensively on capitalist mode of production and deduced the exploitation of workers/labourers.
Karl Marx dedicated his life for the working class people, Sotinkumar added.
He wrote numerous books and among them is the famous Das Kapital, Sotinkumar noted.
He further stated that public sector undertakings were established after India got independence however, the Government are selling these public sector undertakings to rich individuals.
