Imphal, March 01 2023:
Slopeland Public School at Khongjom will be shut permanently from this academic session due to its "anti-revolutionary views and opposition to revolutionary principles," said proscribed outfit Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) today.
The Slopeland Public School has been neglecting the outfit for several years, said the outfit in a statement issued to the media by its secretary, publicity and research, A Yaiphaba.
The KYKL had also sent an official notice to the school on September 30 last for compliance.
The notice issued had warned that the school will be closed if it ignores the outfit.
The ban, however, will not affect the current examinations taking place.
But, there will be no new admissions and no classes.
All school employees, including teachers and non-teaching staff should also stop attending the school.
There should be no unscrupulous actions taken in the interim, for example, mortgaging or selling the school.
There will be equal punishment for both parties for such actions, the outfit cautioned.
Further, students who wish to transfer to another school must be given transfer certificates right away by the school administration, it added.
