Information & publicity secretary of the KNO-KRA, T Simte has accused KNF of threatening the village chiefs of Saikul AC to take up stern action if the people of Saikul vote in favour of Congress party.
He stated that it was unfortunate to witness unethical election behaviour on the part of KNF while KNO/ KRA has been advocating peaceful, free and fair election.
Reiterating its stance for ethical and respectable voting, the Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) under the umbrella of Kuki National Organization (KNO) has appealed to all voters and organizations concerned to exercise their franchise rights ethically in the ensuing Assembly election in Kangpokpi.
Information & publicity secretary of the outfit, T Simte also urged all organizations operating in Kangpokpi district to promote peaceful election keeping in mind the essence of ethical voting and the various CSOs of the district to be a pool of resource for ethical voting.
The outfit appealed all parties concerned to avoid harassment, torture, psychological threat, kidnapping and punishing candidates, village chiefs and voters of the three ACs of Kangpokpi before, during and after election and warned all to heed their appeal.
