Kumed's body, bearing tell-tale signs of being assaulted with sharp weapon(s) was found on May 10 from near Motbung under Saparmeina police station.
The victim was reportedly abducted and his truck hijacked by unidentified persons when he was having meal at a Sekmai hotel the previous day.
In connection with the case, Sekmai police have apprehended one Md Amir Khan (22) s/o Md Yakud Ali of Litanpokpi besides identifying all the other accused in the murder.
Kumed's elder brother Lukman ali, who was also present at the media briefing, demanded befitting punishment against perpetrators of the brutal act of crime and drew the attention of the State Government that relevant assistance be extended to the family members of the deceased.
