Dr Lala passes away, Governor condoles

Dr M Lala Singh, general secretary of Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch passed away on November 24 at his Sagolband Meino Leirak.
The last rite was performed today at his residence.
Meanwhile, Governor Gurbachan Jagat condoled the sudden demise of Dr M Lala Singh while sharing profound grief over his demise.
In a condolence message to deceased Dr Lala's wife, Governor Gurbachan Jagat said the contribution of Dr Lala as the general secretary of IRCS, Manipur State Branch and as a member of the Managing Body of IRCS, National Hqtrs, New Delhi would be difficult to follow while recalling the camaraderie between him and the deceased activist.
The Governor also remembered (L) Dr Lala as efficient, soft spoken and competent besides being good soul with a desire to serve the people especially those affected by serious hardship.
"His death is a loss not only to you and your family but also to the State of Manipur and the Manipuri society.
At your tragic and great loss, I share your profound grief," the Governor message said while praying to the Almighty to give the bereaved family strength to sustain during this period of extreme tragedy and colossal loss.
