Say no to violence, says DC Senapati

"Senapati district needs an immediate development and thus we need to push forward by saying no to violence", asserted Jacintha Lazarus, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati during the valedictory cum prize distribution programme of the 2nd Edition of the District Level Literary Competition 2016 at Indoor Stadium, Senapati, reports our correspondent.
The Deputy Commissioner said that mere reading of books would not help students to become successful.
Overall development is required to achieve one's goal.
The programme was also attended by DK Thangboi, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi and K Kabib, SP Senapati, Pungdi Celestine, president, SDSA and Thangminlen Kipgen, president, KSO Sadar Hills.
DK Thangboi said that students will benefit from literary meet which should be organised for students of different communities.
The two-day 2nd edition of the District Level Literary Competition, 2016 was organized by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner/ Chairperson, District Board of Education Senapati at district Headquarters for students of both Government and private schools.
Debate, quiz, painting, elocution, essay writing competition and science exhibition were held and participated by 587 students from 75 schools.
Tadubi Block was awarded as Overall Block Champion while overall school champion was bagged by St Frances De Sales School and Brook Dale Higher Secondary School.
