Youth Cong rally decries NDA Govt

Imphal, September 25 2014:
A strong seventy-three member contingent of Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee, including seven women, led by its President Amir Hussain were among the large crowd of more than fifty thousand youths gathered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi to join the Yuva Akrosh Rally organized by the Indian Youth Congress today.
The rally, being participated by youth from all over the country, was organised to stage a protest against the failure of NDA Government to translate its assurances into action.
President of Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Amir Hussain said, "The BJP Government had made several promises during the general elections.
But nothing has come of them.
The aim of our rally is to expose the BJP's false promises and show the people the reality of Narendra Modi's performance in the first 120 days" .

Amir Hussain stated that the rally was earlier scheduled to be held on September 9.It is being held today as the Modi Government did not allow the rally to be held on September 9 .
Jantar Mantar road was blocked by erecting a platform on the entire breadth of the road.
MPYC President Amir Hussain and the General Secretary Sunita Konthoujam shared the dais where all leaders of the Youth Congress Committee coming from different States raised various issues following the alleged misrule of the NDA Government.
The rally raised the issues on Indo-China relationship, security of NE students in the National Capital, Punjab issue, protection of minorities and women empowerment.
Sunita Konthoujam, General Secretary of MPYC said, "We are demanding �'Hisab Do' 'Jawab Do' from Prime Minister Narendra Modi who made false promises during election campaigns.
Clashes broke out between Youth Congress workers and the Delhi police in the afternoon while the former were holding their 'Yuva Akrosh Rally' to expose the failures of BJP-led NDA Government.
Police lathi-charged the Youth Congress workers in a bid to disperse them from the venue.
No one from Manipur was hurt.
The delegation of the Manipur Youth Congress Committee was flagged off by Gaikhangam, President of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee at Imphal on September 21 .
