Healthy baby show held at Kasom Khullen

Adhar Nutrition Project, World Vision India organized the first ever Healthy Baby Competition at Kasom Khullen, Block headquarter of Kasom Sub Division, Ukhrul district, Manipur where more than 252 people attended the programme, with the aim of creating lasting impact in the minds of the villagers and to give utmost importance in taking care of the children below five years.
Rev S Kathing, Chairman Village Development Committee and also Pastor of Kasom Khullen Baptist Church gave a heartwarming welcome to each and every participants followed by a brief Introduction to Chief Guest, Guest of Honour , Functional President and Dignitaries present in the program.
The program was graced by L.Sukumar Singh, SDO, Kasom Khullen Division, Ukhrul District Manipur, Mr.T.P.Injangdimang, Manager Staff Care & Enrichment, World Vision India and Mr.Wungwung Shinglai, Headman, Kasom Khullen as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and Functional President respectively.
Medical Staff of Kasom PHC, Staff of SDO Office, Village leaders and Church leaders attended the program with full enthuse.
Chief Guest, L.Sukumar Singh stressed on the importance of Anti Natal Check Up (ANC) and institutional delivery so as to prevent from malnutrition and reduce Infant Mortality Rate (IMF).
He continued to give us assurance of extending his fullest support and cooperation in the days to come too.

Thuirei expressed his gratitude to World Vision India for its endeavor in taking care of children particularly below 5 years and pregnant women.
In the history of Kasom Khullen, many seminars, awareness and workshop on health had been conducted but today's program is the most exciting one.
He further said that, the competition has motivated us particularly parents to even go extra miles as far as children's health is concerned.
Marekso Elue S/o Pamrei & Kashungla Elue; Yoyonthei Zingkhai D/o Themsola Zingkhai and S Phalekim D/o S Angela were declared the first, second and third position holders of the competition respectively.
