AMUCO appeals people to initiate 'Nisha ban' during COVID-19

The All Manipur United Club Organisation (AMUCO) while seriously monitoring the impact of COVID-19, that is affecting all section of life, said that during this trouble time the people should take up some initiative that will do good for the society.
In statement by M M Thambou, Asst Secy AMUCO, it is stated that it is time that the people looks for taking up some good initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been crushing us in all wakes of life.
The AMUCO statement is talking about taking advantage of banning all form of intoxicants that has somehow reduced due to the pandemic.
"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the people right at the moment has been compelled to stay at home and when the people are staying at their home and locality it is perfect time that we the people take a pledge to ban all form of intoxicants", the statement said.
It further said that instead of fencing locality and banning entry of outsiders at many locality to prevent the spread of COVID-19, it will be a better decision to check the use of intoxicants and liquors at the locality.
"The time is perfect for taking up all measures to ban the use of intoxicants, even as COVID-19 has exploited almost all sectors, we the people can take up one good work for the future and that is to make Manipur free from intoxicants", the statement added.
The AMUCO statement while saying that these favourable time to ban the intoxicant unitedly will not come again stated that it is unfortunate that when people are facing extreme suffering the politicians are fighting for power instead of looking on the need of the people.
"The way the politicians behave during this crisis time is the dark time in the history of Manipur and the people will pay back for what they are doing now", the AMUCO statement said.
The statement blames those selfish politicians saying that they will not be accepted by God as well as by the people.
If the people can reduce the use of intoxicants in the state significantly we the people of Manipur can benefit something during this COVID-19 pandemic that has been affecting our lives.
The AMUCO also appealed government authority to give strict instruction to ban all form of intoxicants to the law enforcers.
