Mahatma Gandhi Excellence awardee feted at Kangpokpi

People of Kangpokpi today lauded Haotinkhup Kipgen, awardee of Mahatma Gandhi Excellence Award 2021 during a thanksgiving and blessing ceremony held at Good Shepherd English School, Kangpokpi Ward No 11.The programme was attended by Rev K Hangshing, chairman, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship as Minister along with members of Kangpokpi Town Committee led by its chairman Lunseh Kipgen, Dr Robin, general secretary, International UNICEF, Sadar Hills Private Schools' Association, village chiefs, Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi, KSO Sadar Hills, Kipgen Khangthah Kiloikhom, TSA Sadar Hills and other local bodies.
Haotinkhup Kipgen, founder of Agape Children Home and Principal of Good Shepherd English School received the FACE Rashtriya Gaurav Award 2021, Mahatma Gandhi Excellence Award 2021, International Peace Council Award 2021 and International UNICEF Award 2021 apart from being appointed in the UN UNICEF Selection Board Member, 2021 .

He received the Mahatma Gandhi Excellence Award at Lucknow, UP on March 6, 2021.The UN International Peace Council also awarded him with the Man of Humanity Award at Pondicherry on April 10 while the International UNICEF Council conferred him the International UNICEF Award and International Human Welfare Award in recognition of his outstanding excellence, superior performance and accomplishment in his work on the same day.
The Kuki Students' Organization Sadar Hills had earlier accorded him a warm reception on his arrival at Tulihal Airport after receiving FACE Rashtriya Gaurav Award.
Appreciation and presentation on the part of the village chiefs, CSOs leaders, etc were the main highlights of the thanksgiving and blessing ceremony.
Rev K Hangshing while exhorting Haotinkhup Kipgen and his family invoked thanksgiving and blessing for him and his family.
Dr Robin lauded the achievements of Haotinkhup Kipgen and stated that he is the gem of Kangpokpi district.
Haotinkhup Kipgen is the son of Rev Lalsat Kipgen.
His brother Robert Hekai Kipgen is the former editor of Jingvalpa monthly magazine.
