Ukhrul, January 18 2017:
As a part of the initiatives of Digital India Mission, National Informatics Centre (NIC) Ukhrul District Unit in collaboration with CSC-New Canan, CSC-Litan and CSC-Lambui conducted awareness programmes on "Digital Payment Systems" at 3 different locations today.
The programmes were led by Th Chitrasen Singh, DIO(NIC) Ukhrul and supported by K Modar Maring, ADIO(NIC) Ukhrul.
The District Informatics Officer(DIO) NIC Ukhrul delivered the message on the importance of digital payment systems in the present society for "Go Cashless and Go Digital and also elaborated on how to utilise the present available digital facilities and applications for performing digital payment.

The programme was first held at Yaingangpokpi Bazar in collaboration with CSC-New Canan.
The VLE of CSC-New Canan coordinated the programme and was attended by around 20/25 people.
The DIO spoke on various payment methods for digital payment systems.
People who attended the programme requested to conduct such training programme in future as well.
Later, the programme was organized at Litan Bazar in collaboration with CSC-Litan.
With the support of the VLE of CSC-Litan, the programme was conducted smoothly and was attended around 30-35 people.
The NIC Ukhrul team including the DIO and ADIO again conducted the programme at Lambui Bazar under the aegis of VLE.
Around 30-35 people participated.
Some of the attendees suggested if hands-on training programmes could be also conducted in future.
