Lamka, June 15 2011:
Preparations for the crucial 'Basic Data Registration' of Job Card holders here witnessed unprecedented barrier as the concern DIO have denied internet access to the DRDA after 5 PM, threatening the district's share of MGNREGA fund for the next fiscal, sources said.
'As we are burdened with hefty workloads which needs to be completed within a definite dateline, the DPC MGNRGA have issued an order regulating working hours of all computer operators from 7AM to 9PM each day,' said the DRDA's MIS in charge.
In the event of the DRDA unable to access the internet which was provided by the NIC, that was housed at the DC's office, the process of registration was impractical as it was done online.
This in-turn rendered the DPC's order of any significance, and threaten to withhold funds for the next fiscal, he added.
