Imphal, February 13 2012:
With regard to the news item published under the heading "Salaried dentist sits for BDS Exam" as published on February 13 issue, Manipur Public Service Commission Registrar Lamkholen Singsit has clarified that the goof-up resulted from the ambiguous statements given by the particular candidate/dentist.
In a press release, the MPSC identified the defaulting dentist/candidate as one Dr Kh Eremba of Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai.
In his application form for the written examination of the MHS Grade-IV (Dental Surgeon) conducted on November 26, 2011, Eremba deliberately kept column no 14 blank which sought information and details of the candidate's employment, if any.
Against column no 15 (a) which asked "Are you a Government servant", his response was confusing as he tick marked over the bar between Yes and No.Against column no 15 (b) which asked "Whether you have intimated/informed your employer of your intention of applying for this post", he tick marked over the bar between Yes and No thus making his answer ambiguous to hoodwink the Commission by concealing his identity.
The MPSC Deputy Secretary has already intimated the matter to the Health Director on January 18, 2012, added the MPSC Registrar.
