Barak, Makru bridges likely by Jan next year

Considering the progress achieved so far, the ongoing construction works of Barak and Makru bridges are most likely to be completed by January 2019.As per the contract agreement, the two key bridges which are being constructed with RCC must be completed by April, 2019 .
If there is no undue disturbance, the bridges are most likely to be completed by January ahead of the completion target as indicated by the work progress achieved so far, informed a source.
The total estimated cost of the two bridges is Rs 109 crore.
The Barak Bridge is a double-lane bridge and its length is 154 m.The Makru Bridge which is 124 m long would also be a double-lane bridge.
Both the bridges are being constructed by Bhartia Infra Project Limited (BIPL).
According to a BIPL official, boring of 68 piles at both ends of the Barak Bridge has been completed Likewise, 43 piles would be bored for Makru Bridge and the same work has been already completed.
After all the requisite piles have been bored, construction of pile caps is going on presently.
Once the construction of pile caps is completed, installation/construction of other structures would be taken up in sequential order, added the source.
