RK Sushant organizes vaccination for NE people in Chandigarh

Popular actor and model RK Sushant organized a vaccination drive for the people of Northeast staying in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali.
The vaccination was carried out in Chandigarh today and altogether 40 persons between the age of 18-45 years were given the Covishield vaccine by a team of doctors from the Punjab Health Department.
Sushant revealed that after he and his family got vaccinated he shared it on his youtube channel.
Many of them also informed that they are facing problems in getting vaccinated even after registering on Govt portals.
Having stayed in Punjab and Chandigarh for more than 20 years, he thought that he can certainly do something for his brothers and sisters of the north east.

That is how the idea of organizing a vaccination drive for the people of Northeast staying in Chandigarh originated, he added.
Sushant also informed that he has received more than 90 names so far.
In the first phase, 40 people were vaccinated, mostly from Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal and Assam.
The remaining will be carried out in subsequent phases.
He was extremely thankful to the medical staff and his team of volunteers who made the programme successful.
After reviewing the response and success of the present drive, he stated that he is considering to organize similar programmes in Bengaluru as well where a lot of persons from the Northeast reside and from where many messages of help were received.
