Indian Ambassador to Myanmar visits Haipi and Kangpokpi

On the sideline of his official visit to Manipur, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Gautam Mukhopadhaya paid a visit to his in-laws today at Haipi Village and Kangpokpi in Sadar Hills.
The Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, Gautam Mukhopadhaya is the husband of Nengcha Lhouvum of Kangpokpi, the first IFS officer among Kuki community.
She is a daughter of late SL Palal.
The Indian Ambassador to Myanmar while on his visit to Manipur on official duty also paid a visit to his brother in-law SL Boikho, a retired Principal of Churachandpur College and later went to the residence of the late Wng Cdr, Lamkhohen Misao to condole his demise.
From there the Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Gautam Mukhopadhaya went to Haipi village where another elder sister of his beloved wife resided with her retired IAS husband Kaikam Kipgen.
At Haipi Village, Gautam Mukholadhaya planted an Ashoka tree sapling in front of the Village Community Hall, where the retired IAS Officer Kaikam Kipgen and former Kpi AC MLA Thangminlen Kipgen and others village elders including the village authority members accompanied him.
