Guwahati, March 28 2011:
Arunachal Pradesh Assembly witnessed an uproar from the Opposition over the school children sex tape which had occured two years ago.
According to the reports, the police in a remote Arunachal Pradesh town made two school-going children have sex in a police station and captured the act on their mobile phones.
The resultant MMS has now raised a storm in Arunachal Pradesh.
Last week, the 60-member House raised the 'shameful' MMS depicting sexual act in Daporijo police station in Upper Subansiri district in 2009 .
Opposition legislators rapped Dorjee Khandu's Congress government for going slow on action against the guilty policemen.
On June 12 that year, a police patrol had picked up a boy and a girl from a bridge in Daporijo's Pakam Colony and handed them over to night duty officer Boham Bo.The latter, along with at least four other cops, allegedly confined the two minors in a room and forced them to have sex.
The entire act was captured on mobile phones and circulated.
The case, though, came to the fore after one Tabin Ngomle lodged a complaint on March 16 last, naming Bo and four others as the MMS masterminds.
The Upper Subansiri police chief initiated a departmental inquiry following which Bo was placed under suspension.
Bo and three others were arrested while they were undergoing training in another district.
The fifth head constable Duyu Tatu is absconding.
Arunachal Pradesh home minister Tako Dabi while admitting intelligence failure, Arunachal Pradesh, said the action should have been prompt.
He said exemplary punishment would be prescribed for the culprits to offset such incidents in the future.
Tako Dabi stated, "We have asked the administrative and police heads of the districts to sensitize their personnel on such issues to make the police people-friendly" .
