The Liangmai Naga Council, Manipur (LNC-M), apex body of all the Liangmai Naga tribe has clarified that the so called Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland), Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland), Zeliangrong Students' Union (AMN) and Zeliangrong Baudi, Manipur does not represent or carry the mandate of Liangmai community in any platform or forum.
In a release, LNC-M stated that the manner in which the organizations endorsed the 'Agreed Position' of NNPGs and Government of India in recent time using the name of Liangmai was unethical and condemnable in the strongest terms.
The Liangmai body also informed that the four kindred tribes of Zeliangrong community namely Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei and Inpui are represented in any socio-political and economic affairs by its respective tribe councils.
It continued that there is also a council of the four tribes to deal with any common interest of the Zeliangrong kindred tribes as and when required.
The Liangmai body stated that it neither supports nor endorsed the Agreed Position of the Working Committee/NNPGs and Government of India at any given point of time.
LNC-M also mentioned that every Naga is duty-bound to extend solidarity and support an early, honourable and logical solution based on the Framework Agreement (FA) which was signed between the NSCN-IM and Government of India on August 3, 2015 .
LNC-M further mentioned that the Framework Agreement is a broad parameter of terms of agreement between India and Nagalim to co-exist as two entities.
"The Naga Flag and Constitution are matters of fait accompli and the LNC-M stands by it", it concluded.
