Imphal, June 27 2016:
The Naga People's Front (NPF), Nungba AC unit has expressed serious concern over the alleged absence of the BDO, Khoupum and staff members of the office at this time of the year when students need various documents for their further studies.
In a statement, the NPF, Nungba AC said that people under Khoupum block are blind about the location of SDO/BDO Khoupum as the BDO and his staff do not attend office resulting in the closure of the office.
Many students missed admission at various institutions due to the non-attendance of office by the SDO/BDO and staff of the office at this time of the year when students need various documents from the office for their further studies, it said.
It is also not known to the people/students where the SDO/BDO is running office from.
It also pointed out that the poor public of Nungba AC are buying superfine rice at an exorbitant price (Upto Rs 30 per kg) as the supply under NFSA miserably failed in the AC.
Although the people in the power corridor proudly claimed that rice will be availed to beneficiaries at the rate of Rs 3 per kg, rationing agents in the AC sold the rice at the rate of Rs 6/7/8 per kg in different villages, it said.
The NPF urged the authority concerned to look into the matter and take necessary action in this regard.
