TNL condemns Kuki rebels 'for thrashing two youth'

Ukhrul, February 27 2020:
The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) vehemently condemned 'the barbaric and brutal act of Kuki rebels for allegedly thrashing two Rongmei Naga youth near Sinakeithei village, Ukhrul.
According to a press statement from TNL, the two Rongmei youths were intercepted by three armed cadres of KNA on February 25 while they were on the way to Changta village.
They were taken to an isolated location near Sinakeithei village and were beaten black and blue by the cadres of Kuki National Army (KNA) .
Though the KNA cadres knew that they were carrying sick lady with them, 'they paid no heed and thrashed the two mercilessly' .
They, fortunately, managed to escape from the hand of the militant group and took refuge at Sinakeithei village.
Among the two, one is an IRB personnel while the other is an innocent civilian.
The Tangkhul Naga Long lauded the villagers of Sinakeithei for helping the two with first aid and subsequently rushing to Imphal for further treatment.
TNL Vice president, Tuisem urged the State Government to look into the matter at earliest.
He further mentioned that the KNA armed cadres moving freely along with their weapons has created insecure to the villagers.
