KSO, Chandel inspects schools

Kuki Students' Organization (KSO), Chandel has started inspecting Government schools located at Cana Area and Molnoi area since Tuesday, reports our correspondent.
A team led by Doumang Haokip, president, KSO, Chandel inspected Y Thingkangphai Government High School, Khongtal/Kanan Primary School, Longja Primary School and Sajik Tampak Government High School in Cana Area under Chakpikarong Sub-Division yesterday.
The student body also inspected all the private and Government schools located at Molnoi Area under Tengnoupal sub-division today There are shortage of teachers in most Government schools particularly at Y Thingkangphai and Sajik Tampak Government High School, the student body said.
Due to inadequate classrooms, lower class students of Sajik Tampak Government High School have been attending classes in Twilelon village community hall which is located around 500 metres away from the school.
Interestingly, the school campus of Sajik Tampak Government High School, village Church of Twilelon lie within the premises of 21 Assam Rifles post and shared one gate manned by AR personnel.
Some buildings located adjacent to the main school building were occupied by the Assam Rifles despite shortage of classrooms, KSO, Chandel said.
Lhunthang Haokip, Head Master In-Charge of Sajik Tampak Government High school maintained that the department concerned had issued a transfer order of 4 teachers including 2 utilised teachers last February.
However, three teachers have failed to join till date.
