Rs 85 lakh to be collected from Bhawans, Guest House

General Administrative Department (GAD) has pending revenue of upto Rs 85.90 lakh to be collected from the Manipur Bhawans and State Guest House for the period from April 1, 2012 to March, 2013 .
According to a reliable source, pending revenue to be collected from the Manipur Bhawan and the Manipur Tikendrajit House in New Delhi is to the tune of Rs 48.40 lakh, while the amount from other Bhawans are Rs 33 lakh (Kolkata), Rs 50,000 (Guwahati) and Rs 4 lakh from State Guest House.
The source further said that government is taking up speedy actions to make the Manipur Bhawan at Guwahati ready for public use.
Besides, the government is also looking for suitable place to construct a State Guest House at Mumbai.
Construction of Civil Secretariat building is in progress while renovations works are going on for the Ministers' Block, Secretariat building and State Guest House.
Opening of an ATM booth is also on the card at the Southern block of the Manipur Secretariat, the source disclosed.
Besides, GAD is also taking up necessary actions for proper functioning of the Printing and Stationary Department.
