MR man on poll duty at WB passes away

Imphal, May 22 2019:
A personnel
of Manipur Rifles on
poll duty at Durgapur, West
Bengal passed away today
while on the way to Durgapur
from Kolkata.
The deceased identified
as AS Somi, a Havildar with
Adhoc Bn-1, B Coy of
Manipur SAP (6 Bn
Manipur Rifles) complained
of chest pain and breathlessness
and was rushed to
Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital,
Durgapur where he
passed away.
A message to this effect
has been intimated to the
CEO of Manipur by the
Additional DGP of the State
police.
The ADGP appealed the
CEO to get in touch with
the Government of West
Bengal to provide all assistance
and expedite legal
formalities including post
mortem examination and
transportation of the body
along with another personnel
till Imphal by flight at
the earliest.
On the other hand, the office
of the CEO and the
entire staff of the State Election
Department have deeply
condoled the demise of the
MR personnel and shared
the pain and grief of the
bereaved family members.
