AMSU Jiribam threatens to launch mass protest

All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), District Committee Jiribam has threatened to launch an intensified stir condemning the State Government's failure to upgrade the Jiri College into a full-fledged Government College.
AMSU District Committee, Jiribam President Y Sanjib Singh stated that many memorandums had been submitted to the Chief Minister O Ibobi demanding to upgrade the Jiri College into a Government College.
Lauding the public for their support in closing down all schools and Zonal Education Office (ZEO) on November 20 and 21, the AMSU District Committee, Jiribam President also vowed to further intensify the agitation as the Government had continuously sidelined the issue.
AMSU Jiribam had earlier alleged that most of the poor students from Tamenglong, Churachandpur, Cachar, Assam and other neighbouring areas have been studying at Jiri College.
