On the other hand, the wife of the deceased Phijam Renuka, said that yesterday evening, at around 4.30, her husband went out to drop their daughter for tuition at Patsoi Part III for preparation of Jawahar Navodaya entrance test.
Before leaving the house, her husband also told her that he is going to meet someone and as such he might return home late, she added.
She continued that at around 8.30 pm, her husband returned after picking up her daughter from the tuition centre but after parking his vehicle outside the gate, her husband went out alone by foot towards the main road.
She said that he failed to return home last night and when she tried to contact his mobile phone, it was found that it had been switched off at around 9.30 pm.
Today morning her husband's lifeless body was found at Yarou Bamdiyar Tampha Kei with injury marks all over his body, she said and continued that Nambol PS had informed the family members that no phone or car keys were found in possession of the dead body or its surrounding areas.
Asking what is her husband's fault to get killed in such a manner, she appealed to all the concerned to arrest the culprits at the earliest.
It may be mentioned that the body of Philem Mohindro was found lying by road side by locals of Bamdiyar who were on a morning walk.
After getting information about the presence of a dead body, a team of Nambol police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
The body was later picked up and deposited at RIMS morgue and a case was registered at Nambol police.
