Re-arrested

Md Abash Khan who is reportedly involved in many cases of murder and vehicle-lifting has been re-arrested by a combined team of Manipur Police and Delhi Police from New Delhi.
A cash reward of Rs 50,000 was also announced by the State Government for providing information leading to the arrest of Abash Khan after he escaped from prison sometime back.
31 year old Md Abash Khan s/o Md Rajaul Haque of Thoubal Moijing was re-arrested from Shakupur J Block, House No 562, West Delhi at about noon of
February 14 .
Abash Khan was imprisoned since November 16 last year on the charges of opening fire at the Lilong office of Anjuman Islah-E-Muaashrah and lifting vehicles.
He escaped from the security ward of JNIMS on December 22 while undergoing treatment there.
After his escape from judicial custody, Abash and his cohorts shot dead Md Abdul Hakim (37) s/o Md Haji Abdul Karim of Lilong Turel Ahanbi at about 3.30 am of December 24 last year.
Abash was brought to Imphal today by a team of Imphal East District Police and handed over to Lilong police station, informed a police source.
