Addressing the gathering, Dr K Sobita said, "When Manipur was under the kings' rule, the State was in peace.
Now, the State is in chaos.
For a mother, nothing hurts more than losing her children.
Till this day, Rozer's mother is traumatized by his son's death.
In order to prevent such incident in future, we mothers need to play an important role" .
Binalakshmi Nepram said, "Manipur has many widows and mothers whose innocent husbands and sons were unfairly killed.
The new State Government should take up required measures to ensure such incident does not recur" .
"To think of Rozer's mother who is suffering the loss of her only son is extremely saddening.
Manipur was ruled by kings.
Now the State is ruled by certain people involved in women trafficking, gun trafficking, drug trafficking and other illegal activities.
The State has become a place for the outsiders to carry out activities according to their whims and fancies.
If we do not check all these now, Manipur will be destructed after 20 years.," she said.
Yambem Laba, while speaking at the programme, also stated that the new State Government must initiate stringent steps to ensure similar unfortunate incident does not occur in future.
